Super and Cute Babies...

The Laval family has been quite busy. Since the girls came home 2 weeks ago, we have been working to get us all on a schedule that get us some sleep. Luckily we are both not working at the moment so we are able to catch some shut eye in between feedings...enough about the parents...more about the girls.

They are doing well. Skyler is 5lb 14oz, Chloe is 5lb 7.5oz, and Lily is 5lb 8oz. We try to give them awake time during the day, but they are still little so eating and sleeping is about all they are doing; however, we have witnessed all of them rolling over from their bellies to their backs...ALREADY!! Their full term date is July 31st (when I would have been 40 weeks along and officially due), so we are expecting to see a lot more alertness and awake time after then and some more pounds are put on their little bodies.

Thank you to all of you who have called, visited, and send wishes and prayers our way. We are so fortunate to have all of you in our life. Here are some more pictures to enjoy!

XOXO

Welcome Home Skyler, Chloe, and Lily!

Chloe (left), Lily (right), Skyler (below)

Skyler, Chloe, and Lily all wrapped up and ready to come home!!!

Hello all! Most of you already know the girls came home last week (July 7th). They are adjusting very well to their new Tinker Bell nursery and Steve and I are also adjusting well to having them home. Most of our family has referred to us as a well oiled machine...we are even splitting the night shift so one of us can get a good night sleep.

As far as the girls...they are growing so fast. Last Thursday Skyler was 5lbs 5oz, Chloe was 4lbs 14oz, and Lily was 4lbs 13oz. We are convinced with the way they have been eating that Skyler is quickly approaching 6lbs and Chloe and Lily are not too far behind her.

Parenthood is amazing and we are enjoying every minute of it! Enjoy the pictures we posted here...more to come later.

Top left - Skyler's first bottle!!
Middle- Lily and her stuffed Sammie!
Bottom - Chloe up and ready to eat!
Here are some pictures of the girls for you to enjoy. We will try to upload more as we can. It is hard to take pictures when we are visiting them becasue Steve and I are very hands on the whole time we are there. It is a learning process and so important that we ask questions, feed, change, and bond with them. Just be patient - more photos will come in the future! :)

Quick Update...

First and foremost...Happy 1st Fathers Day to Steve!! :)
Now..the girls...
They are doing great in the NICU. They were off all kind of support after the 24 hour precautionary period (they didnt really need it anyhow). They were all moved from level 3 NICU to Level 2 at 4 days old. The are currently 10 days old today. Skyler weighs 3 lbs 13 oz and is drinking 3 bottles a day out of her 8 feedings. Chloe weighs 3 lbs 6 oz and has 2 bottles a day out of her 8 feedings. Lily also weighs 3lbs 6 oz and has 2 bottles out of her 8 feedings.
All three are still in their isolettes, but should be moving to regular cribs hopefully this week. Skyler will probably be in one before her sisters because she is bigger. No word yet on when they will come home, it is just a matter of bulking our babies up.

Thank you for all your warm wishes, thoughts, and prayers for our family. We are so greatful to have such an amazing group of friends and family supporting us and our precious daughters.

Happy Fathers day to all the Dad's out there!

We love you all. XOXO

31 weeks...

...well it has come down to that point in the pregnancy where Kim is in a lot of discomfort. We have a scheduled visit with the high rist doctor tomorrow to check the anatomy of the babies and from there he is putting us on hospitalized bedrest to ease some discomfort. The dr. is really wanting to stretch out as long as he can before delivery of the babies so hopefully the hospital bedrest will help out a little bit.
FYI - Kim's phone somehow got dropped into her glass of ice water so it isn't working; however Steve's phone is still working so if you need to get in touch with us, just give him a call.

Good News and Bad News...

...the good news is everything is going VERY well with Kim and the babies! The chances of going into pre-term labor at this point are very slim! The bad news...Kim has to be pregnant longer!! We are on a 5 week timeline right now. Looks like the day will be June 18th or 19th at this point and we get to meet our girls! :) At least we have a good idea of a timeline at this point so we are more aware of what (when) to expect! Kim is already measuring full term, which in normal people terms means...she look like she is about to burst open...can't imagine what 5 more weeks will look like!
Things are going great otherwise and we are anxious for the next 5 weeks to pass by! Hope everyone is doing well.

XOXO

27 week checkup with Dr Fuentes...

...the babies have grown and are now weighing it at 2.1 pounds each - YAY! They are still wanting to get me to 34 weeks (mid June) and from the looks of it I will make it (only 7 weeks - just keep telling myself that). The "growing pains" are constant, but I told the dr. as long as I can keep these babies in I will do it and suck up the pain - poor Steve has to hear me whine but I am sure he undersands (after all he did break his femur - we all remember that)!
Also had my test for gestational diabetes come back good - no diabetes for me and the babies!! The 3.5 hour visit I had and that nasty drink was all worth it to find out everything was fine!
We are scheduled to go to the OB every 2 weeks and the High Risk every 2 weeks, so we will be at the dr at least once a week from here on out!
Otherwise...I am looking forward to spending my birthday with all my awesome friends and family that are coming over to celebrate Saturday! Cant wait to see you all.

XOXO...

26 weeks...and still truckin...

Well...we are definately getting there (slowly but surely - it seems to me like I have been pregnant forever). Things are going well...the girls are moving all the time...kicking...punching...doing cartwheels and somersautls...etc. As Steve says there is a 3 way Diva Battle Royal going on in there...(thats a wrestling match for those who are not familiar).
As far as the Doctors are concerned, the OB has us coming in every 2 weeks now as opposed to every 4 weeks. We see the high risk dr for a sonogram on Thursday and then he will probably want to see us more frequent than every 4 weeks as he is now. We met with a pediatrician this weekend to get that lined up for the girls...so much to think about!
How am I feeling...like a hippopotamus. How do I look...like a hippopotamus or a pot belly pig...whichever is more attractive!
Take care and I will post more after the sonogram!

25 weeks...

...the 5th week on bed rest was okay. I started to have more growing pains, thought they may have been contractions so had to make an unexpected visit to the dr, but everything is okay! Associated with the growing pains is well, I'm growing a lot. I am pretty much the equivalent of a pregnant woman in her last weeks with one baby and I still have a good 2 months (hopefully) to go! I added some more pictures from the shower that I have. If anyone took any please send them to me b/c Steve and I didn't have a camera! Thanks.

Love ya!

We saw the OB today...

...he was proud of us!! He said everything is going well and the girls are right on track - YAY! We had a lot of questions answered today, so it was a very productive visit. We are going to see them every 2 weeks now instead of once a month so they can keep a closer eye on me and the babies. As Dr. Breit said, its crunch time - if anything can/does happen it will be now until delivery date! Let's all pray that we get as far into June as possible until we meet our 3 little girls!
Steve has been busy making onesies for the girls, personalized with all the ELRW men on them (lucky guys)!!
Thats all the news for now - bedrest is still boring, but I gotta do it! :)

TaTa for now!

Thank you...

to everyone that came to the shower! We had such a good time. Thank you for all the phenominal gifts for Skyler, Chloe, and Lily. We tell them everyday how much they are already loved!
We had our usual 4 week check-up this past Thursday and all is VERY well! The girls each weigh just at or over 1 pound each, and are 24 cm in length! They have basically doubled their size in 4 weeks - it is so exciting. They are definately fighting for space becasue we saw them punching, kicking, and pushing each other on the songram - Daddy is alreay teaching them wrestling moves!
Bedrest is well, bedrest. Nothing too fun happening. We organized the babies room so we are set for them when they arrive (not anytime soon, tho - they need to grow more). Kim is feeling good still (minus the random growing pains), but growth is good! We will be posting pictures from the shower and of the nusery as soon as we get them from those of you who had cameras. So if that person is you, please send some our way!

Thank you and we love you all!

Lily Ann Laval

...okay I feel much better now. Thank you to the people that pointed that out to me...you know who you are! lol

Have a phenomenal day!

Bed Rest - week 2..

..it should be a much more exciting week! My Aunt is coming in from CT on Thursday night, so I will have company Friday, Saturday, and lots of people for the Baby Shower Sunday! I am so excited to see everyone - it is going to be such a great time!
Otherwise, Steve and I had a very busy Saturday night. We worked together and finished the babies room - all the stenciling, painting, murals, and furniture is put together and in position - now all we need in three healthy babies (in 3 months from now) to fill them! :)
As for me - bedrest gets super boring, but I live with it. As always, I welcome any and all visitors to come visit. There is only so much online shopping, puzzles, and movies to do during the day. Jessica has named Steve as my personal chef as she got a taste of what he does for me everyday - he is so amazing. :)
Have a great day and see you all VERY soon!

Bed Rest - Week 1

So far so good with bed rest. I have had the luxury of getting a lot of visitors throughout the day, so it has made things go by quicker. It really is hard to restrict myself to not going up and down the stairs, but I know I am not supposed to.
Steve is in the process of putting together the 3 cribs and 2 changind tables, then we will finish up the stenciling and murals for the girls tinkerbell room!
Our little kitten, Tebow, had surgery today (got neutered) so that was pretty sad - he should be home tomorrow. The surgery went well, but we are sure he will be doped up and in pain for the next week or so.
Thats all for now. Our next doctor visit is April 2nd (after the baby shower).

Have a great day!

Love, Kim

5 days and counting...

until I am officially confined to the house. Not gonna lie - did a lot this weekend, had a BLAST, but definately feeling the effects. Now I am starting to understand why the dr is putting me on bed rest - if he doesn't I'll just keep going!
We had a visit to the high risk dr on Thursday. Everything is going well. The girls grew from 4 oz. 3 weeks ago to 9 oz. on Thursday - no wonder I am getting so big. I will put more pictures up when I have time - finishing up work this week and super busy.
The room is painted and we are just waiting for it to dry so we (Steve) can do all the detail work - YAY.
Can't wait to see you all at the baby shower! Let us know if you didn't receive the evite, just email me at Kimlaval@hotmail.com so I can add you to the list!

Woaaa, we're half way there...

A little late is always better than never. 17 weeks was our half way point and we are 18 weeks 2 days today. Steve and I have both been staying super busy. I have so much to do at work before I am on bed rest and it is just around the corner. Steve has been tackling a lot of tasks around the house, one major one being cleaning out and painting the girls room. We have decided on a tinkerbell theme because well, who doesn't like tinkerbell? It was either that or star wars, but I am sure the girls will appreciate tink much more.
Otherwise, things are going well. The girls are growing (I know that b/c I am growing non stop). We have an appointment this Thursday (March 5th) for another ultrasound and then we will get a specific date that I am on bed rest!
Thank you all for voting for the names...it was fun for us to see what you think we would pick! I am sure some of you are anxious to know what we have chosen, so here they are...
Skyler Sopie Laval
Lily Ann Laval
Chloe Marie Laval
The first names are all uniqe names that Steve and I liked, whereas the middle names are family names. We are not sure exactly how we plan to name them yet, but I am sure we will come up with something.
We hope everyone is well and look forward to seeing you all March 29th at our house for the shower. The evite should be out to most of you (the ones we have emails for) otherwise expect it this week. Have a great week and we will update more after our appointment on Thursday!

Just a quick update!

We are getting things done around the house very rapidly. I have about 2 weeks left before bed rest so time is a ticking. Steve cleaned out the nursery and created a man room that looks more like a toy store now with all his toys from his childhood. He has done SO much for me and I cannot even express how much I appreciate it! So far all is well. We are 18 weeks tomorrow, but I look like I am about 25 weeks! We will post more in details later!

Kim (and Steve)

Its about that time...

...to start making the babies room something other than the junk and storage room that it is! We are still trying to decide on a specific "theme" for the room, but have a few ideas in mind for the girls. Steve got me a vermont teddy bear for valentines day - I opened the box and the bear is pregnant too - hahaha. I found that hilarious.

We see that a lot of you have voted for names - we are pretty surprised at the results. We will be announcing the real names in the next week or so, stay posted. The girls are doing well - I had another growth spurt this week (gained about 4 lbs for a total of 20 so far) - 30 more pounds to go!

Otherwise than that, we wanted to let everyone know that our parents will be giving us a co-ed baby shower at the end of March (Sunday 3/29). We want as many of our family and friends to come as possible - yes that does include all those guys out there. We will be sending out an evite in the next week, so if we do not have your email address or you have never received an evite from us before, please post a comment with your email so we can send you the details! :)

26 days and counting until I go on bed rest. :( I will be very good company to any of you who don't work or get bored during the day - hint hint!

Have a great day!

Update from the High Risk Doctor!!

Steve and I just returned from our monthly visit to the high risk doctor. It was a pretty long visit becasue they had to measure all the anatomy of each baby! There is a lot of good news to share! I am doing well and growing as I am supposed to. My cervix is long (which means a lesser chance of preterm labor) and the babies are GROWING! They all weigh about 4 ounces and are about 7 inches in lenght fully stretched out! I am still set to go on bed rest in mid March - the doctor said no exceptions on this one. We have one more appointment today to visit with my OB.

Now...for what you are all waiting for...the sexes. The ultrasound tech that we had today (Maria) did not see any pertruding objects coming out from between the legs, so we all know what that means...we are having 3 baby GIRLS! We are both really happy (although we were hoping for a mix - we are extatic that all 3 babies are healthy and growing).

Love you all and enjoy the pictures! More updates to come!

15 weeks today...and sick

Well we officially hit the 15 week mark - YAY! It seems like it has been a long journey thus far, but thinking into the future - the babies will be here before we know it. On another note, I am sick. I caught a cold (probably from student germs) so I have been home the past 2 day from work. Next week I am off of work so I am hoping this passes by soon! Other than that - getting bigger. Can't feel the babies moving yet, but I know that will be coming soon. We are anxiously awaiting our appointment Monday. 4 weeks ago the babies were only 4 cm in length, now they are said to be almost 4 inches!! Hopefully we will know what we are having! It is great to see all the thoughts you have on what the sexes are...we have some names in mind, but are open to ideas from friends and family! Leave us a comment and help us brainstorm - reading books with 60,000+ names is overwhelming. Bye for now - be sure to check back monday for pictures of our beautiful babies! :)

14 Weeks and counting...

So...I am 14 weeks 5 days today and really starting to show and feel like I am pregnant! I have been showing for a few weeks now, but growing by the minute! So far, I am feeling okay - I have my moments of nausea and random pains, but nothing out of the ordinary. We go see our high risk doctor on Monday, 2/9 as well as our regular OB. They have all been so supportive and informative throughout the process. The current DUE date is June 14th (we will deliver around 34 weeks - hopefully we will make it that far) and I am scheduled to go on bed rest at 20 weeks (March 13th). Keep Steve and I in your thoughts and prayers - we will be updating the site periodically with posts from him and I! Be sure to take the poll - what do you think the sexes are going to be! Hopefully we will find out on Monday, so get your votes in! We love you all!
